Write a Personal Response Essay 1) Analyze and examine one work of literature we read in class on its own without bringing in any personal connection.
Requirements:
700 word minimum: not including the Works Cited Page.
You must quote directly from the work you are examining as evidence. You can also paraphrase.
You can use summary in the introduction but focus most of the essay on analysis.
Use MLA in-text citations and create a Works Cited Page.
Use specific examples and direct quotes from the literature to make connections and provide proof of your point..
You must introduce the writer/poet in the introduction as well as the title of the work you are examining.
Must have a clear thesis at end of Introduction. Thesis must contain the title of the literary work and/or the author.
Use transitions.
Do not use contractions.
You can use first person. But you cannot use second person
