A possible structure:
Paragraph 1: Introduce the writer and the main point made in the article.
Use an underlined thesis statement to define and identify the three appeals you will explore.
Paragraph 2: Discuss one appeal made in the article. Use at least one quote. Follow the 1, 2, 3 step process.
Paragraph 3: Discuss the second appeal. Follow the 1,2,3 step process. (Introduce the quote with your own thought. Insert the quote. Explain the quote. This is called the 1, 2, 3 step process. Be sure to use a complete sentence for each step.)
Paragraph 4: Discuss the final appeal made in the article. 1, 2, 3.
Conclude with a summary of the points and show how they contribute to the articles thesis.
