Chapter 5 – page Q4: 272 to Q5: 276 / 265 to 269 / Q6: 331 to 332 4- Discuss the professional experiences, contributions, and visions of August Vollmer to Policing. 5- Present the Slippery-Slope Model of Noble-Cause Corruption and provide a position on the validity of this hypothesis. 6- Reforms are a common, political, and logical response to police corruption that is made public. Discuss either the response of the City of Pittsburgh or (more preferably) another example of actions undertaken in reaction to misconduct to deter this activity in the future. Give your opinion on the accuracy of this segment based on current events, your own experiences, and your education to date. 8- In the sixth chapter of POLICE ETHICS outline the authors presentation of Legitimacy and Patrol Officers. Give your assessment of the accuracy of this section based on current times, your own perceptions, and your college experience thus far. 9- Describe the concept of de-policing and contributing factors to this.
